We are currently hiring Shift Maintenance Technicians to support a very high-profile medical device client in Co. Westmeath. Attractive shift patterns that support a strong work life balance

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting production equipment in a medical device healthcare environment
  • Repairing and troubleshooting automated electro/mechanical equipment failures
  • Schedule and perform preventative maintenance procedures through PEMAC
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation.
  • Work proactively to ensure production performance targets are met
  • Ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices & Good Documentation Practices are followed.
  • Support Engineering projects and lead actions assigned to maintenance group
  • Focus on Continuous Improvement projects to drive improvements in OEE

Authority:

  • You have authority to stop the job if you feel there is an unsafe work practice which could result in a risk of injury, have an environmental impact or risk to equipment and other personnel.
  • Carry out your duties to meet Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements at all times.

Requirements:

  • Cert./Diploma/Senior Trades in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • 3- 5years experience in a similar technical role within the medical device or similar industry
  • Mechanical experience within an automated manufacturing environment
  • Strong troubleshooting / problem solving skills and analytical methodologies
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, motor drives, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong team player
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns
