Maintenance Engineer

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Location: Leeds Salary: £40,000 per annum Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM On-Call: 1 in 4 weeks £75 retainer £150 per call-out Overview: We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team at our client's manufacturing facility in Leeds. This role is ideal for someone with a strong electrical background and a solid understanding of mechanical systems. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our equipment and machinery run smoothly and efficiently, with a focus on minimising downtime through effective preventative and reactive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing machinery Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults Assist with equipment installations and upgrades Perform safety checks and ensure compliance with site and industry standards Participate in a 4-weekly on-call rota, providing support for breakdowns outside normal working hours Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer: Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within manufacturing Strong electrical fault-finding and repair skills Basic mechanical knowledge and capability Recognised electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) Offered to the Maintenance Engineer: Salary of £40,000 On-call payment structure Supportive team environment with opportunities for skill development #J-18808-Ljbffr
