Mainframe Developer

Job Summary (Mainframe Developer – Torrance, CA) Develop and support applications for large-scale projects in an IBM mainframe environment (COBOL, CICS, MQ, DB2, JCL). Provide production support, including researching and resolving mainframe online and batch abends. Analyze and improve batch processes for enhanced performance and reduced processing time. Conduct impact analysis across multiple platforms and applications. Deliver comprehensive documentation for project estimates, design, and development work. Participate in on-call support for production batch jobs during off-hours. Leverage experience or knowledge in auto finance, particularly in areas like lending, payment processing, collections, and repossession. Apply business knowledge of financial services and automotive lending processes. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders, demonstrating interpersonal skills aligned with Honda’s culture.

Utilize familiarity with software testing practices, especially unit testing and related deliverables. Experience with FIS/Systematics platforms is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
