Macro Analyst, Market Intelligence, Europe

Overview

In this role you will apply alternative data to extract macro insights for Europe, focusing on rates and FX contexts. You’ll work with data scientists and engineers to deliver synthesized insights to investment professionals, shaping research processes and decision-making. You’ll collaborate across Data Sourcing, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Compliance to source and evaluate data assets and produce actionable, compliant research.

• Analyze alternative data sources to build macro themes and KPIs for your coverage
• Produce internal research for investment professionals across reports, data feeds, and visualizations
• Engage with investment professionals to learn the macro investment process and inform decisions
• Collaborate with Data Sourcing, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Compliance to source, evaluate, and leverage data assets

• An undergraduate degree or advanced degree with demonstrated academic success
• 1–5 years of macro/economics/investment research or consulting experience, including internships
• Proficiency in SQL and Python with ability to participate in a live technical screen
• Experience modelling and analysing time series data in macroeconomic or quantitative research
• Passion for finance, research, and using data to solve problems
• Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical partners
• Strong organizational skills, creativity, and work ethic
• Ability to operate productively in a team environment
