Overview

In this Senior Product Manager role, you will shape the strategy for how researchers read, understand and derive insight from Springer Nature’s content, driving AI-powered reading and understanding capabilities. You’ll align cross-functional teams to build compelling, personalised scholarly experiences that connect content with research workflows. You will influence platform strategy to enhance engagement, adoption and measurable business value across books, journals and research insights.

Responsibilities
  • Own the product strategy, outcomes and roadmap for researcher-facing experiences with Springer Nature content
  • Define and deliver AI-powered reading and understanding strategy through discovery, experimentation and execution
  • Shape researcher workflows from consumption to synthesis and knowledge creation, linking content with broader context
  • Drive engagement, retention and commercial outcomes with clear success metrics
  • Identify foundational platform capabilities and collaborate with technology and product teams to maximise ROI
  • Lead prioritisation and delivery with cross-functional teams, engineering, design, analytics and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Head of Product and other PMs to evolve on- and off-platform discovery tools
  • Partner with business leaders to evolve models and articulate value to customers
  • Support cross-domain initiatives with Editorial, Content Innovation and Delivery teams
Key requirements
  • Proven product leadership with history turning business objectives and user insights into actionable roadmaps
  • Experience delivering customer-focused digital products and outcomes across commercial, behavioural, qualitative and quantitative measures
  • Agile delivery experience with ability to influence engineering and develop technical capability
  • Experience managing products across full lifecycle from inception to retirement
  • Strong ability to translate user needs into valuable product outcomes and measurable impact
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to tailor messages for senior leaders and delivery teams
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Strategic understanding of Product Design, Strategy, Development, Engineering and Systems Design
