This medical center provides comprehensive pulmonary services with both inpatient critical care capabilities and outpatient clinic facilities.
The facility maintains appropriate staffing and equipment to support specialized pulmonary procedures and transplant-related care. About the Facility Location North Jersey offers diverse attractions including the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island tours, harbor evening cruises, and the Atlantic City Boardwalk. The region provides access to helicopter tours of New York's skyline, excursions to Niagara Falls, and sunset cruises departing from Cape May.
Visitors can explore the Lakota Wolf Preserve, various parks, and cultural tours, with winter activities featuring outdoor skating and seasonal festivities at local venues. About the Clinician's Workday The clinician will provide comprehensive pulmonary critical care coverage alternating between inpatient and outpatient settings on a weekly basis. Responsibilities include managing an average of 8 inpatients per day during inpatient weeks with call coverage from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, performing essential procedures including bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, and chest tube placements based on patient acuity.
During outpatient weeks, the clinician will conduct clinic visits from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM seeing approximately 15 patients per day. The position requires board certification in both Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, with fellowship training in lung transplants being highly preferred for this specialized role. Additional Job Details Case Load/PPD: IP: 8; Clinic: 15 Support Staff: Nursing staff, medical assistants, and administrative support Patient Population: Adults Call Ratio/Schedule: Provider will be needed 40 hours per week 1 week Inpatient and on call; 1 week OP clinic.
Hours are IP 8-4 and on-call; OP 8-4.
