We are seeking a Pathologist for a 50-day locum tenens assignment in Georgia, starting Apr 6, 2026. This opportunity is hospital-based and features day shifts, Monday through Friday, with a schedule that typically runs from 8 am to 5 pm and often ends early.
The assignment includes multiple blocks throughout the year. Job Details Location: Georgia Facility Type: Hospital Start Date: Apr 6, 2026 LOA: 50 days Provider Type Needed: Pathologist Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm; provider usually gets off early. Specific dates include Apr 6-10, Apr 13-17, Apr 27-May 1, Jun 15-19, Jun 22-26, Aug 10-14, Sep 28–Oct 2, Nov 23-25, Dec 21-24, Dec 28-31.
Responsibilities and Duties Evaluate and diagnose hospital-based anatomic pathology specimens, including cytology and surgical samples Review approximately 10 non-GYN blocks per day (2-3 cases) and 90 surgical blocks per day (35-40 cases) Interpret specimens from both a private laboratory and hospital settings Collaborate with physician assistants who perform grossing No autopsy or bone marrow procedures/interpretation required for this locum tenens role Additional Information Must hold an active Georgia medical license Board certification in Pathology - Anatomic required Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
