We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician/Gynecologist for a solo locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity starts on Jun 20, 2026, and spans 40 days, with 24-hour clinic and call coverage.
The schedule includes specific multi-week blocks throughout June, July, and December. Candidates must be comfortable practicing rural medicine and have been board certified at least once by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Job Details Location: California Start Date: Jun 20, 2026 LOA: 40 days Provider Type Needed: Obstetrician/Gynecologist Schedule: 24-hour shifts from 8am-8am, scheduled blocks: Jun 20-Jul 5, Jul 20-Aug 3, Dec 12-Dec 25 Responsibilities and Duties Provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology care in a rural setting Manage clinic responsibilities and on-call duties as the sole provider Deliver inpatient and outpatient services as needed Respond to emergencies and acute patient needs during 24-hour shifts Maintain accurate and timely patient records Uphold standards for quality and patient safety Additional Information Must hold a valid California medical license Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required (must have been certified at least once by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Prior experience in rural medicine strongly preferred Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
