Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Hematology and Oncology in Iowa

Doctor of Medicine | Hematology and Oncology Location: Iowa Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are actively seeking a Board Certified / Truly Board Eligible Hematologist Oncologist for a high-priority Locum-to-Perm opportunity in Des Moines, Iowa . This role offers a strong blend of outpatient clinic, inpatient coverage, telehealth , and long-term permanent potential within a well-supported oncology program. Assignment Overview Location: Des Moines & West Des Moines, IA Position Type: Locum-to-Perm Status: Open | 1 position Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Patient Contact Hours: 6 per day Clinic Days: 4–5 days per week Call: Yes (schedule TBD) Weekends: As needed EMR: EPIC Clinical Responsibilities Outpatient Medical Hematology & Oncology coverage Inpatient coverage at two sites Telehealth included Outreach coverage (potentially Newton, IA ~6 days/month ) No procedures or OR days No APP supervision required ‍⚕️ Practice Details Clinic volume: 10–30 patients/day Average inpatient census: 10–15 Appointment times: New consults: 40 minutes Follow-ups: 20 minutes Nursing support: 1:1 Imaging, lab, and pharmacy services available Patient mix: Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial Services Include: Patient assessments, treatment planning, chemotherapy management, therapy adjustments, referrals for ancillary services, pain and symptom management, and end-of-life care.
