Doctor of Medicine | Hematology and Oncology Location: Hartford, CT Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position A rewarding Locum Tenens opportunity for a Board Certified Hematology Oncology Physician is available to provide both inpatient consultation and outpatient cancer care in Connecticut. This position offers the chance to join an established oncology team dedicated to delivering comprehensive care to adult and geriatric oncology patients . The physician will manage a wide range of hematologic disorders and oncology cases , working in collaboration with a multidisciplinary cancer care team including physicians, advanced practice providers, and oncology nursing staff.
This role combines clinic-based oncology practice with hospital consultations , providing a balanced clinical schedule along with limited call responsibilities. The practice environment utilizes advanced diagnostic tools, evidence-based treatment protocols, and EPIC electronic medical records , allowing physicians to focus on delivering high-quality patient-centered oncology care. Key Responsibilities Provide Hematology and Oncology care for adult and geriatric patients Evaluate and manage hematologic disorders and cancer diagnoses Conduct inpatient hematology consultations and outpatient oncology visits Develop and implement personalized cancer treatment plans Interpret laboratory results, pathology reports, and diagnostic imaging Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams including APPs and specialists Participate in weekend and night call coverage as part of the physician rotation Document patient encounters using EPIC EMR Manage follow-up care and coordinate treatment plans with the oncology care team Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care for patients with complex hematologic and oncologic conditions This assignment provides the opportunity to practice within a large collaborative oncology program serving a diverse patient population.
