Nurse Practitioner | Psychiatry - General/Other Location: Natick, MA Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Join Our Team as a Family Nurse Practitioner – Make a Difference in Mental Health Care Are you a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner passionate about providing compassionate care to diverse patient populations? We are seeking a skilled and committed Family Nurse Practitioner to support an inpatient psychiatric unit, ensuring quality treatment for patients ranging from adolescents to the elderly. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in a dynamic healthcare environment, with a forecasted engagement for one year.
Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive family medicine services to patients in an inpatient psychiatric setting. Serve primarily adult patients, with age range starting from age 10 through elderly. Work intermittent weekends, with coverage needed from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Maintain high standards of patient care, ensuring safety and compliance with all institutional and legal requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic treatment plans. Adhere to all licensing, certification, and protocol requirements, including CPI training.
Required Skills: Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC). Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience. Ability to practice independently in Massachusetts.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse patient populations. Proficiency in electronic medical records and documentation. CPI training completed or willing to obtain prior to start date.
Nice to Have Skills: Experience working in psychiatric or inpatient hospital settings. Bilingual abilities or proficiency in additional languages. Prior experience with adolescent and elderly patient care.
Familiarity with crisis intervention and behavioral health protocols. Preferred Education and Experience: Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing. Valid Massachusetts FNP licensure and certification.
Prior experience in mental health or inpatient care settings. Other Requirements: Must be able to work intermittently on weekends as per the schedule. Eligible for reimbursement of travel, licensure, and certification expenses as applicable.
Willing to complete CPI training prior to start. Compensation and Benefits: Competitive hourly pay rate of $1.00 per hour. Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit.
