We are seeking talented General Medicine Providers to deliver critical compensation and pension examinations across the country, with an immediate opening for coverage in Houston, TX. In this role, you will conduct interview-based assessments and physical evaluations to assist Veterans in obtaining their benefits. Your expertise will support a vital mission—helping those who have served our nation. Whether working on a per diem basis at a VES facility or leveraging your own office, you will be a vital part of a team committed to excellence and efficiency.
Required Skills: Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification Proven experience in general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or related fields Strong assessment and interview skills, with the ability to perform physical examinations when necessary Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and adhere to established protocols Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience with compensation and pension evaluations or military/veterans healthcare Familiarity with physical assessments such as range of motion or muscle strength testing Prior work in telehealth or remote assessment environments Preferred Education and Experience: Master’s degree or higher in Nursing or a related field Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner Experience working with Veterans or in government healthcare programs Other Requirements: Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the designated city (Houston, TX, or other specified locations) Ability to work flexible hours, including half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts on a PRN basis Engagement in ongoing administrative tasks such as report writing and follow-ups will be required, but will be included in the flat-rate compensation Travel and licensure reimbursements are provided when applicable This position offers a competitive hourly pay of $402.00, with additional bonuses for completing training and initial exams.
