1. Librarian

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library.
  • Organize, catalogue, and maintain books, periodicals, digital resources, and reference materials.
  • Assist students and teachers in effectively accessing and using library resources.
  • Promote a culture of reading through book clubs, reading programmes, book displays, and related initiatives.
  • Guide students in using library systems and reference tools for academic research.
  • Coordinate with academic departments to support curriculum requirements.
  • Maintain records of issued/returned materials and manage overdue resources.
  • Ensure a well-organized, quiet, and respectful library environment.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Library Science (B.Lib / M.Lib).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a school or academic library preferred.
  • Familiarity with library management software.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for reading, literature, and student engagement.


2. Western Music Teacher

Banyan Tree School is seeking a skilled and dedicated Western Music Teacher with strong knowledge of Western Music and the ability to inspire students through engaging and creative music education.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct engaging Western Music classes for students.
  • Develop students’ vocal and instrumental skills through structured instruction.
  • Prepare and train students for assemblies, concerts, competitions, annual functions, and cultural events.
  • Conduct choir practices and coordinate musical performances.
  • Introduce students to Western music theory, notation, rhythm, harmony, and appropriate repertoire.
  • Identify and nurture students with musical aptitude.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and creative learning environment.
  • Coordinate with activity and event teams for musical performances.
  • Maintain records of student participation, progress, and achievements.
  • Participate actively in school events and professional development programmes.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Music, preferably with specialization in Western Music.
  • Formal training/certification in Western Classical Music or a recognized music qualification preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Vocal Music and/or relevant Western musical instruments.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in a school or similar educational institution.
  • Experience in training students for choirs, productions, concerts, competitions, and cultural events.
  • Good communication, classroom management, and collaborative skills.
