1. Librarian
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library.
- Organize, catalogue, and maintain books, periodicals, digital resources, and reference materials.
- Assist students and teachers in effectively accessing and using library resources.
- Promote a culture of reading through book clubs, reading programmes, book displays, and related initiatives.
- Guide students in using library systems and reference tools for academic research.
- Coordinate with academic departments to support curriculum requirements.
- Maintain records of issued/returned materials and manage overdue resources.
- Ensure a well-organized, quiet, and respectful library environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Library Science (B.Lib / M.Lib).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a school or academic library preferred.
- Familiarity with library management software.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for reading, literature, and student engagement.
2. Western Music Teacher
Banyan Tree School is seeking a skilled and dedicated Western Music Teacher with strong knowledge of Western Music and the ability to inspire students through engaging and creative music education.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct engaging Western Music classes for students.
- Develop students’ vocal and instrumental skills through structured instruction.
- Prepare and train students for assemblies, concerts, competitions, annual functions, and cultural events.
- Conduct choir practices and coordinate musical performances.
- Introduce students to Western music theory, notation, rhythm, harmony, and appropriate repertoire.
- Identify and nurture students with musical aptitude.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and creative learning environment.
- Coordinate with activity and event teams for musical performances.
- Maintain records of student participation, progress, and achievements.
- Participate actively in school events and professional development programmes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Music, preferably with specialization in Western Music.
- Formal training/certification in Western Classical Music or a recognized music qualification preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Vocal Music and/or relevant Western musical instruments.
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in a school or similar educational institution.
- Experience in training students for choirs, productions, concerts, competitions, and cultural events.
- Good communication, classroom management, and collaborative skills.
