Lecturer in Game Design

0.5FTE, 18 hours per week

£34,421 - £41,074 per annum pro rata

Are you passionate about teaching Games Design? Are you enthusiastic about inspiring and motivating students to fulfil their potential? If so, we have an exciting opportunity available to join our team as a Game Design Lecturer at City College Norwich.  

Requirements:

·        Relevant teaching qualifications and experience in teaching Games Design Level 2 & 3, or a willingness to work towards these qualifications

·        Strong background in art and digital media with demonstrable experience in 3D design and animation

·        Inspiring and educating the next generation of game designers, bringing both creative and technical knowledge into the classroom.

·        Significant industry experience with a clear commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge of contemporary practices and developments within the games sector

As a College we are required to undertake various Safer Recruitment checks as set out within the guidance from the Department for Education Keeping Child Safe in Education. We require all staff to undertake an enhanced Adult and Child Workforce DBS Check and to register with the DBS Update Service. Please note: From 28 November 2020 the government implemented changes to the filtering rules, and we have been instructed that we cannot accept any update service checks on DBS certificates that have been issued before this date.

Therefore, a new one must be completed with City College Norwich.
