Lease & Title Analyst (Dallas)

LEASE & TITLE ANALYST - Oil & Gas Dallas, Texas Highly Competitive Salary, Bonus & Benefits Package Hybrid Work Schedule (3 days In-Office, 2 days WFH) J MAR’s oil & gas client, a well-established and financially strong mineral and royalty owner, is seeking a Lease & Title Analyst to join their Dallas-based team. This organization manages a large, diversified portfolio of non-operated mineral, royalty, and leasehold interests across key U.S. basins and offers a stable, collaborative environment with long-term growth potential. This role is ideal for someone experienced in lease and title analysis who enjoys ownership research, document interpretation, and working across a broad asset base.

Exposure to division order functions is a plus, but not required. Candidate must have oil & gas lease analysis experience to be considered for this role. RESPONSIBILITIES Review and analyze title documents (deeds, assignments, probates, leases, etc.) to determine mineral ownership and interest calculations.

Interpret and maintain record title and leasehold ownership across a large portfolio of non-operated properties. Analyze lease terms and agreements, including royalty provisions, burdens, and obligations. Conduct title and ownership research using regulatory and commercial systems (RRC, OCC, Enverus, county records, etc.).

Maintain and update ownership records and title data, ensuring accuracy across internal systems. Support acquisitions and divestitures through title review, ownership analysis, and data validation. Interface with operators, purchasers, and internal teams to resolve title, ownership, and revenue discrepancies.

Review and organize land, title, and lease records to ensure completeness and accessibility. Assist with ownership verification and related support for accounting and division order functions as needed. Contribute to special projects related to land administration, title analysis, and portfolio management.

REQUIREMENTS 3+ years of experience in lease and title analysis within oil & gas. Solid understanding of mineral ownership, leasehold interests, and royalty concepts. Experience conducting research using RRC, OCC, Enverus, county records, or similar tools.

Exposure to division order processes or ownership decks is a plus, but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Experience with systems such as OGSYS, LandWorks, DocVue, or similar is a plus.

Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
