Lead Piping Engineer (P.Eng.) | Drive Major Industrial Projects and Mentor High-Performing Engineering Teams

Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Lead Piping Engineer in the energy sector in Calgary, Alberta.

This is a senior technical leadership opportunity for an experienced P.Eng. to lead piping engineering execution across major capital projects or a portfolio of concurrent industrial projects. You will provide technical oversight, mentor engineering teams, drive engineering quality and safety, and work closely with multidisciplinary stakeholders to deliver complex projects within scope, schedule, and budget.

A typical day:

  • Lead piping engineering teams delivering complex projects or portfolios of concurrent projects
  • Provide technical oversight for specifications, calculations, studies, reports, and design deliverables
  • Coordinate engineering execution with project management, clients, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, risks, and change management activities
  • Support procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and site technical activities
  • Mentor engineers and promote engineering quality, safety, and continuous improvement

Successful candidates will have:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Maintain a P.Eng. designation with APEGA or possess immediate transfer eligibility
  • Demonstrate extensive piping engineering experience within heavy industrial environments
  • Lead major capital projects and/or portfolios within EPC or EPCM delivery models
  • Apply advanced knowledge of ABSA requirements and ASME/ASTM piping codes and standards
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, contractors, and executive stakeholders
