Lead Business Analyst – AI | Barcelona | Freelance

We're looking for a Lead Business Analyst with strong AI expertise to join a collaborative team working on innovative software and AI solutions for a leading client.

You'll work closely with business and technical stakeholders to identify, assess and shape AI use cases, translating business needs into valuable and feasible AI solutions.

What we're looking for

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst or AI Business Analyst
• Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs and AI solution design
• Hands-on understanding of prompt engineering, RAG, model evaluation and fine-tuning
• Ability to assess AI use cases, feasibility, cost-benefit and business value
• Understanding of hallucinations, bias, AI ethics, token management and model versioning
• Experience defining AI success metrics and A/B testing approaches
• Good knowledge of SQL, APIs and data quality
• Experience working with Jira/Azure DevOps, Confluence and Git
• Strong Agile experience, including sprint planning, retrospectives, user story mapping, acceptance criteria and backlog refinement
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to understand when AI should — and should not — be used

Location: Barcelona, 3 days/week onsite

Contract: Freelance

Rate: €330–355/day

Start date: 21 September 2026

Initial duration: Until 31 October, with expected extension
