Junior Software Developer

Overview

In this BackEnd role you will help design and ship new services for a leading German online comparison platform. You’ll work closely with CTO-level leadership on system architecture, product features, and the launch of high-impact services. The position focuses on building scalable backend capabilities and contributing to the company’s open source strategy, with opportunities to grow within a fast-evolving tech organization.

• Independently optimize IT processes across the department by analyzing current state, defining KPIs, and implementing improvements with relevant teams
• Advance central projects such as the holding company’s customer accounts (SSO)
• Analyze and prepare information for CTOs
• Support CTOs/HR in company-wide software developer development initiatives (IT meetings, focus groups)
• Design and implement the company’s open source strategy (e.g., expand GitHub presence, community support)

• Excellent grades in university degree and completed relevant studies (CS, business informatics, math, physics, etc.)
• Very good command of at least one programming or scripting language (PHP, Python, Golang, Java, C#, etc.)
• High willingness to learn and continuously adapt to new technologies and setups
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High self-motivation and discipline to deliver projects
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with different areas
• Good Linux/DevOps knowledge
