Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate and creative Junior Industrial Designer to join our growing design team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in product design, excellent visualization skills, and the ability to translate ideas into innovative and manufacturable products.

As a Junior Industrial Designer, you will work alongside experienced designers and engineers to develop products from concept to prototype, contributing to projects across a wide range of industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Sketching & Concept Development: Create initial product concepts through freehand sketching and brainstorming sessions.
• CAD Modeling: Develop 3D models of product concepts using industry-standard CAD software.
• Rendering & Visualization: Produce high-quality renders to communicate design intent and aesthetics.
• Prototyping: Work with the team to build and test prototypes, helping bring designs to life for functional and aesthetic validation.
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineers and marketers, to refine and finalize designs.
• Research & Innovation: Stay up to date with design trends, materials, manufacturing technologies, and AI tools to continually innovate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in Industrial/Product Design.
• Strong freehand sketching and ideation skills, with the ability to visualize and communicate design concepts effectively.
• Experience with rendering software such as KeyShot, V-Ray, or similar visualization tools.
• Basic understanding of prototyping techniques, including 3D printing, CNC machining, or traditional model-making.
• Ability to use AI tools to enhance the design process and improve productivity.
• A keen eye for detail, form, functionality, and aesthetics.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with prototyping tools and fabrication methods.
• Familiarity with electronics integration within product design.
• Strong imagination and creativity to visualize and develop innovative products that meet client expectations.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D computer-aided design (CAD), drafting, and industrial design software.
• Up to date with current trends in product and industrial design.
• Good understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, linear and non-linear material behavior, fatigue, and corrosion.
• Knowledge of design-centric and graphical software used for product development.
• Basic understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
