Junior Electrical Engineer

Junior Electrical Engineer, E.I.T. - Edmonton We are seeking a Junior Electrical Technologist or Designer for our Edmonton office. Your Key Responsibilities: Produce electrical AutoCAD drawings. Perform design calculations for building electrical systems.

Learn the TWS document production standards. Ensure design complies with codes and regulations. Sizing of distribution equipment.

Design of Life safety system (fire alarm system, emergency lighting layout, exit signs). Ensure projects are completed within allotted schedules and budgets, and to high quality standards. Construction admin such as: Attend meetings with clients, Architects, trades Write site instructions, Proposed Change Orders and other documents Perform site reviews as required Assist with other tasks as assigned by supervisor Work well independently or in a team environment Objectives: Ensure professionalism in all communications with existing clients.

Ensure the effectiveness of the drawings. Compensation Range: $55,000-$65,000 Your Capabilities and Credentials: Passion about wanting to excel as a Consulting Engineer. Graduate of Electrical Engineering program in Canada.

Excellent communication skills (interpersonal; verbal and written) and proven ability to prepare cohesive reports and collaborate with team. Have a good basic knowledge of electrical system and electrical design concepts. Familiar with building construction process, governing codes and standards.

Problem solving abilities. Proficient in use of AutoCAD and or Revit. Understand the Canadian Electrical Code.

Understand the Alberta Building Codes. Technical competence and strong attention to detail. You are a driven individual; a self-starter; passionate about your work, enjoy being challenged.
