Java Backend Engineer

Job Description The Back-End developer lays the foundation for all of the applications that our organization develops. This developer can integrate systems, design a database, and build out jobs for scheduled tasks. Performance, security, and stability are the outcomes they strive for.

Responsibilities Build high performance, new services that are defect free Analyze existing code, find and implement improvements Drive the resolution of problems found in existing applications Design and build jobs using code, SQL, and scripting Work with front-end developers to build complete, end-to-end systems Manage and maintain code base in Git Experience in one or more modern development language (Java 1.8) Experience in Spring Boot & Microservices Knowledge on event-driven, reactive programming, streams, TDD, design patterns, SQL, cloud environments & native development Previous work building RESTful services and APIs Familiar with coding patterns, both object-oriented and procedural Makes a habit of covering the majority of their code with unit tests Ability to debug code quickly and efficiently Experience working with SQL, NoSQL, message and data Hands‑on experience with a JavaScript structural framework (React) Previous work done on high-traffic public facing websites Understand the mechanics of responsive web design using HTML5/CSS3 Experience with Oracle and PL‑SQL Experience securing a public facing API Experience developing as part of an agile team Experience solutioning and estimating requirements Extensive knowledge of system architecture patterns Secure coding training and/or experience Salary Salary Range: $100,000 to $120,000 per year Qualifications BACHELOR OF COMPUTER SCIENCE #J-18808-Ljbffr
