Our client is currently looking to add an aspiring IT Manager with a strong problem-solving mindset to their team in Calgary, AB. Reporting to the Director, Development, this individual will play a key role in managing and optimizing the company’s IT infrastructure across both on-premise systems and Azure cloud environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and hands-on IT professional looking to step into a leadership-focused role while helping drive infrastructure performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do Lead the management of IT infrastructure across on-premise systems and Azure cloud environments Oversee Microsoft 365 administration, including user access, security, troubleshooting, and system optimization Manage and mentor an IT team member, supporting development and task delegation Coordinate software deployments, patching, onboarding, and offboarding processes Manage Windows Server environments and support ongoing infrastructure improvements Own and maintain vendor relationships related to hardware, software, cloud services, and outsourced IT support Help develop and implement IT strategies, processes, and best practices What You Bring Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Azure infrastructure, and Windows Server environments Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues Strong understanding of networking protocols, systems infrastructure, and IT operations Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate, consult, and provide recommendations across teams A proactive, adaptable mindset and ability to thrive in evolving environments Leadership capabilities with experience mentoring or supporting junior IT staff Minimum Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 7+ years of experience in cloud, network, database, or systems administration Strong technical problem-solving abilities Demonstrated leadership and communication skills Experience developing and implementing IT strategies and operational plans Why Apply?
