Role
IT Business Analyst – Functional & Project Coordination (Financial Services) based in Madrid.
The role focuses on functional analysis, requirements gathering, application lifecycle management (Run & Change), and end‑to‑end IT project coordination within a complex financial environment.
You will act as the key link between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external providers to ensure the delivery of high‑quality solutions aligned with business needs, timelines, and service level expectations.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for new projects and application evolutions.
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for technical teams.
- Manage and coordinate IT projects end‑to‑end, from requirement definition to go‑live and post‑implementation follow‑up.
- Ensure proper management of application incidents and anomalies, including prioritization and coordination of resolution.
- Act as the main functional point of contact between business stakeholders, IT teams, and third‑party providers.
- Define, coordinate, and supervise User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including preparation of test cases and validation processes.
- Monitor project planning, risks, dependencies, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, and budget.
- Organize and lead follow‑up meetings, steering committees, and functional workshops.
- Manage change requests and contribute to prioritization decisions.
- Promote continuous improvement of processes and ensure compliance with internal methodologies and quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as IT Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or similar role within IT environments.
- Proven experience in requirements gathering, functional analysis, and stakeholder management.
- Experience managing IT projects or coordinating IT initiatives end‑to‑end.
- Experience in incident management and application lifecycle management (Run & Change).
- Previous experience in financial services, banking, or multinational environments is highly valued.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams.
- Strong knowledge of Jira and Microsoft Office 365.
- Excellent English level (minimum B2/C1), both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical skills and problem‑solving mindset.
- Ability to manage priorities, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and ensure delivery quality.
