About the Role Starling is the UK’s first and leading digital bank and we are building a new kind of bank that uses technology to help people manage their money in a transformative way. This role is part of the mobile engineering team that builds the iOS app, a feature‑rich, ever‑growing product that serves millions of customers across the UK. Responsibilities Design, write and ship high‑quality Swift code for the iOS app.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and other developers at all experience levels. Commit, review and maintain code that is robust, well‑tested and meets complex business requirements. Focus on accessibility, security and maintainability while delivering new screens and features every day.

Work closely with the tooling team to improve developer productivity through in‑house frameworks and automation. Qualifications Experience with Swift, UIKit and MVVM‑C architecture. Knowledge of RxSwift or other reactive programming frameworks (plus).

Strong understanding of the iOS ecosystem and best practices for accessibility, performance and security. Ability to produce clean, maintainable code and write unit tests. Experience working in an Agile environment and collaborating across teams.

Requirements Strong focus on accessibility and security across all layers of the stack. At least a basic understanding of MVVM‑C architecture, reactive programming and use of frameworks such as RxSwift, SnapKit, Realm, Sourcery, SwiftGen, SwiftFormat, SwiftLint and Danger. Interview Process Initial phone call – ~45 minutes.

Take‑home technical test (no time limit). Technical face‑to‑face – ~1.5 hours. Final interview – ~45 minutes.
