Interventional Radiology Tech | Springfield, Missouri

A healthcare provider is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to support diagnostic and invasive imaging procedures in a respected medical center's International Radiology department. This contract opportunity offers a 13-week assignment with a schedule set for days, five 8-hour shifts per week, guaranteeing 36 hours weekly, with weekend and on-call hours as required by the facility. Key Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic and invasive procedures across various anatomy and pathology under the guidance of the care team.

Provide scrub assistance during procedures, recording images, and ensuring appropriate operation of essential patient care equipment including oxygen, suction, and blood pressure monitors. Operate special procedures imaging equipment consistently to produce optimal quality examinations, adhering to radiation safety protocols. Administer contrast materials correctly, reviewing medication reconciliation forms to identify contraindications.

Observe patient status closely before, during, and after procedures, utilizing immobilization and transfer devices properly. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the department. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant experience in Interventional Radiology.

Advanced registry credentials such as CI, VI, RCIS, or ARRT (R) required. BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Ability to comply with strict dress code, including wearing black scrubs and avoiding torn clothing or open-toed shoes.

Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for travel periods between November 1 and April 1.
