International Trade Compliance Associate (Attorney)

Job Description: We are working with a full-service, multi-office law firm seeking an International Trade Compliance Associate to join their Washington, DC or New Haven, CT office. The successful candidate will have at least two years of trade compliance experience, including familiarity with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Foreign Assets Control (sanctions) regulations and Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CFIUS) regulations. Preference for candidates with experience investigating and drafting voluntary disclosures and developing and implementing compliance policies.

A further plus for candidates who previously worked in-house or in government. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, be highly motivated, have strong communication skills, and be able to work with minimal supervision. Bar admission in the state of practice is required.

Graduation from law school and practice experience is required.
