Administration/Internal sales (no cold calling) Skelmersdale/Wigan
Our client was established over 20 years ago, producing a catalogue of commercial products supplied throughout the UK and Europe
The role is available due to growth within the business, we are looking for someone who has experience working within industrial/construction/engineering sales. Someone who is reliable and driven to deliver good results. There is training and support available and even though its fast paced and customer facing there will be an induction provided to give you time to pick up what you need to be successful.
You will be part of a team.
Responsibilities and Duties
Reporting to the Office Manager, you will have several responsibilities and duties including:
- Answering telephones, replying to e-mails, returning quotes in a timely manner.
- Prioritising enquiries/orders.
- Processing purchase orders, creating estimates.
- Booking deliveries, quoting on carriage charges.
- Interacting with managers and carrying out their requests.
- Office duties such as filing documents as and when needed.
- Updating Social Media platforms.
- Keeping workplace tidy, undertaking general office duties.
- Co-operating with the warehouse team and drivers.
- Maintaining an in-depth understanding of the company's products/services to advise and make suitable recommendations.
- Resolving customer concerns.
- Keeping up to date with our Quality procedure in relation to ISO 9001

- Office 365 skills
- Dealing with customers over the phone, great approach over the phone
- Social Media Skills.
- Understanding of sizing, estimates will need to be worked out, so maths is essential
Salary & Benefits
- Salary up to £27k

- Working hours – Monday to Thursday 8.30am-4.30pm (Half hour lunch break), Friday 8.30am - 2.00pm
