What Youll Be Doing (position summary):
Client Servicing and Technology (CST) provides technology solutions and operational support to CIBCs business units, ensuring seamless service delivery and operational stability. The CST Change Planning team is responsible for managing and coordinating changes to enterprise systems, minimizing risks and impacts to business operations.

How Youll Succeed (responsibilities):
- Ensure standardized methods, processes, and procedures are used for all changes, facilitating efficient and prompt handling of changes and maintaining balance between the need for change and potential detrimental impact.
- Manage change requests by responding to CRs, ensuring all changes are properly categorized, risk assessed, prioritized, planned, tested, evaluated, released, documented, and reviewed in a controlled and standardized manner.
- Analyze planning and deployment strategies for software/hardware changes, including installation/back out procedures, verification, business participation, change windows, and scheduling.
- Provide support to CST stakeholders to ensure awareness, adaptation, and consistency of CST processes. Analyze expedited change tickets to ensure compliance.
- Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.
- Execute OE Risk and internal CST processes continually, raising potential operational risks identified through analysis of change records.
- Create and run reports in Jira and EasyBI for management consumption; present information in public forums as required.
- Maintain attention to detail in all change planning activities and documentation.
Cross-Functional Relationships:
- Collaborates with CST team members, business stakeholders, and technology partners to coordinate change planning activities.
- Works with application owners, architecture teams, and infrastructure teams to assess and plan changes.
- Engages with risk management and compliance teams to ensure adherence to operational risk procedures.
- Interacts with management at various levels to present change analytics and reports.

- As a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes in order to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Job Dimensions:
- Supports enterprise-wide change planning impacting multiple business units and systems/applications.
- Responsible for managing and analyzing change requests and records in ITSM tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
- Provides advisory and support services to ensure consistent change management practices.
- No direct reports; individual contributor role.
Experience: 4+ years of experience
Who You Are (skills/qualifications):
- 4+ years of experience in Change Planning, including standard Enterprise Change Management practices and principles.
Must Have Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, ServiceNow, Jira, EasyBI, and Microsoft PowerPoint (asset).
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies and Application/Architecture Development as well as information systems.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related IT field.
- Strong presentation skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate detailed information effectively.
- Ability to investigate complex problems, analyze data, and present impactful information.
- Collaborative mindset with ability to support team success and resolve issues collectively.
- Strong influence and relationship-building skills; inspires outcomes through effective communication.
- Values trust, teamwork, and accountability; brings authenticity to work.
