Role Title: EPS Specialist

Position Summary:

Prepare and revise sketches, diagrams, maps and plan drawings of FM insured locations using Engineering Plan Services production systems to support engineers in accurately understanding the site hazards. The specialist also contributes to CAD, and GIS development, and implementation initiatives to strengthen EPS workflows, accuracy, and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare, and revise complex report sketches, data plans, survey plans and/or special servicing requests using the computer aided drafting tools based on field notes, engineering drawings, electronic files and instructions.
• Interpret large and complex drawings and datasets to produce accurate Insurance plan drawings and deliverables.
• Collaborate with Surveyors, QC, Supervisors, and Engineers to complete projects of varying size and complexity.
• Communicate progress and escalate issues impacting timelines to the Manager/Supervisor/Surveyor.
• Apply GIS, mapping, analysis, automation, or programming skills to support EPS systems and workflows. Identify and recommend opportunities for automation, improved drafting efficiency, and streamlined EPS procedure.
• Train and mentor new hires and support skill development for all team members, as needed.
• Perform operational responsibilities including plan requests, Risk reports, plans, tracking, Document management, quality control, and plan assembly.Support EPS workload demands as needed, including assisting with non-drafting tasks.
• Contributes to the development, enhancement, and implementation of CAD and GIS tools, standards, and procedures in support of EPS production environments.
• Provides technical and operational support, including testing, documentation, and training, to ensure effective adoption and ongoing compliance with EPS standards. Provide support to all EPS staff across hardware, software, plan standards, and within established workflows

Skill and Experience:

• 3+ years of experiencerequired to perform essential job functions.
• Additional Experience Qualifier (optional): 3+ years in a production environment, including 2+ years supporting EPS CAD and/or survey operations.
• Quality control and standards compliance in CAD/GIS plan production
• Technical proficiency in CAD and GIS, including plan revision, validation, and system use
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex drawings, field notes, and data inputs
• Ability to deliver staff training and coaching with clear written and verbal communication
• Awareness of process improvement and automation opportunities to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and consistency
• Technical systems proficiency across CAD, GIS, document management, and EPS production tools
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively based on project and operational needs

Must Have Skills:

• Quality control and standards compliance in CAD/GIS plan production
• Technical proficiency in CAD, and GIS, including plan revision and validation
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex drawings and data inputs
• Ability to delivery staff training, and coaching with clear communication (written and verbal)

Education and Certifications:

• 2 Year / Associate Degree Required
