We are looking for a Insurance Accountant
Main Tasks
- Extensive experience in insurance accounting, supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
- Strong background in preparing and reviewing accounting entries, performing account reconciliations, analytical reviews, and ensuring complete audit trail documentation.
- Experienced in working closely with Actuarial, Finance, Internal Control, Reporting, and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to identify accounting risks, improve financial processes, standardize procedures, and ensure timely delivery of financial information under strict deadlines.
Main Skills & Requirements
- Over 10 years of professional experience in accounting, including significant experience within the insurance sector (Life and/or Non-Life).
- Solid knowledge of IFRS (including IFRS 17, if applicable), General Accounting principles, and financial reporting; familiarity with French GAAP and IFRS 9 is an advantage.
- Advanced Excel user with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese, with the ability to communicate effectively with international stakeholders; proactive, detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to continuous process improvement.
