Job Description
A leading global credit investment manager is seeking a Director or Managing Director of Capital Formation to join its New York office. This position will play a key role in driving global capital raising strategy and expanding the firm’s institutional investor coverage.
Working closely with senior executive leadership and the investment team, the individual will take ownership of institutional LP coverage in North America while supporting the strategic expansion of international fundraising initiatives across the firm’s full suite of credit strategies, including private credit (drawdown vehicles), structured credit, special situations, high yield, distressed and CLO equity/debt.
- Capital Strategy & Execution: Partner with firm leadership to structure, launch, and execute global capital raising initiatives across current and future credit strategies.
- Institutional Coverage: Originate, establish, and institutionalize relationships with key LPs across North America, including public and corporate pensions, endowments, foundations, insurance companies, multi-family offices, and investment consultants.
- LP Relationship Management: Maintain continuous, high-touch engagement with existing investors to support retention, re-ups, and cross-strategy allocations.
- Campaign Management: Lead all aspects of investor dialogue, roadshows, and marketing efforts, ensuring institutional alignment across collateral, due diligence responses, and LP onboarding.
- Cross-Strategy Positioning: Effectively articulate complex investment strategies across both private drawdown structures and liquid/semi-liquid credit vehicles.
Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrated success raising institutional capital in North America within credit, fixed income, or private markets strategies.
- Deep, verifiable relationships across North American institutional allocators and intermediaries.
- Comprehensive understanding of public and private credit, including drawdown and structured credit mechanics.
- Proven ability to represent the firm at the highest institutional level with sophisticated LP audiences.
