Role Description

  • Responsible for understanding, researching, designing, and developing security solutions, technical and reference architectures and supporting security strategies tailored to and, with a focus towards AWS and Azure cloud providers.
  • Provides oversight and technical leadership across all Security functional domains to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all systems.
  • Articulate cybersecurity architecture vision, security strategies and risk implications to key stakeholders to guide leadership decision-making.
  • Oversees Security engineering projects, initiatives, and analytics to ensure complete and timely delivery of key department objectives.
  • Sets direction, organizes, and enable collaboration across cross-functional departments.
  • Provides guidance and advocacy regarding project prioritization and technology investment direction for Cybersecurity.
  • Expert in Network security
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of engineering next-gen designs, and security trends and threats
  • Prepares reports, technical presentation, and analytics visualization for management decision-making
  • Vendor security assessments
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices and technologies: This includes experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and other security tools and technologies.
  • Experience with cloud computing and network security: This includes experience with AWS security groups, Azure security center, and other cloud-based security solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: This includes the ability to identify and assess security threats and vulnerabilities, and to recommend and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills: This includes the ability to effectively communicate security risks and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with different compliance and regulatory requirements


Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience are required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security or related field; or equivalent work experience required.
  • Knowledge and experience in information security and privacy laws, access, release of information, and release control technologies.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing Cloud Security Controls to meet the compliance or industry best practices.
  • Professional certifications in information technology and cloud security - CISSP preferred, CCSP (optional), CISA (optional), CEH (optional), OSCP (optional);
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing Cloud Security Controls to meet the compliance or industry best practices.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud native Network Security Controls following industry, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Experience of Network Virtual Appliances, Micro-segmentation, SASE and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Protects our networks and data from threats and vulnerabilities
  • Ensures network infrastructure is properly configured, review and audit AWS security groups
  • Provides guidance on best practices for securing networks and data
  • Responds to any security incidents and help prevent breaches
  • Helps to maintain their reputation and financial stability by ensuring the security and integrity of our networks and data
