ROLE DETAILS Position Title Infection Control Nurse & Nurse Educator Department Clinical Administration Location HCG Abdur Razzaque Ansari Cancer Centre, Ranchi Reporting to Functional Administrative Head-Nursing Services Job-Holder Specifications QUALIFICATION Basic Qualification / Education / Vocational Training • BSc Nursing/MSc Nursing Advanced Qualification / Certification / Specialist Training • Nursing Leadership Training-Preferably EXPERIENCE Minimum Experience 3 years and above-at-least 2 years in clinical service COMPETENCIES Competence Job competence. Teamwork. Communication. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for overall training and knowledge and skill upgradation of all nurses of the unit.

Ensures quality nursing care delivery to all patients. Coordinates with the corporate nursing team for the various training initiatives and focus group trainings to review, enhance and update practices across units. Assists in preparing, reviewing and implementing policies, SOPs and protocols related to nursing in consultation with the concerned personnel.

Interprets the policies and procedures of the nursing service department to his/her staff and others. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT Ensures all new joiners undergo the centralized structured nursing induction and departmental orientation program. Ensures privileging of all nurses within 3 months of their joining and periodically.

Assesses the learning needs of all nurses periodically Organizes the need based training for all the department staff. Ensures all staff attends mandatory training-Fire safety, BLS, ACLS, PALS, IV therapy, Chemotherapy, HIS, etc. Organizes and conducts the mandatory CNE training for all the staff of the unit and ensures 8 hours of training per staff per month.

QUALITY Ensures comprehensive care given to each patient & evaluates care given Ensures patient safety in all the aspects. Ensuring the incidents is reported on time Conducts audits periodically-nursing care, nursing documents, training calendar and attendance at various wards in the unit. Ensures QI are tracked & bench mark are maintained as per policy Assists in conducting quality assurance and quality improvement programs periodically to improve nursing care.
