Primary Responsibilities:
Event marketing
- Createdigital invitations,RSVP materials (including splash pages and confirmation emails), print and digital signagefor IndieWire's slate of FYC and Future of Filmmaking events and summits.
- Liaisewithbusiness and editorialteamsto buildoutinvitelists for FYC and consumer/Future ofFilmmakingevents.
- Conduct grassrootsoutreach to filmmaker organizations and educational institutions toexpandIndieWire'sreach with emerging filmmakers and students
- Managebarter relationships with unions, guilds, film organizations, festivals,and more
- Support Director of Eventswithonsite marketingandeventlogisticsasneeded, bringing IndieWire brand to life in the room.
- Collaboratewiththe sales teamtodevelopmediakits, client pitch decks, custom proposals, house ads, and campaign wrap reports.
Editorial& brand marketing.
- Workwithmarketing and editorialto create original art, graphics, and other visualcreativeassetsforstories, site pages,emailand social media.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- At least 1+ years of experience in events or marketing, ideally in entertainment or publishing
- ProficiencyinMS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Occasionally work outside normal office hours for live events (awards shows, film festivals, etc.) or breaking news
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Understanding of theIndieWirebrandand independent film community it champions
- Event marketing backgroundis a plus.
- Experience with online registration/ticketing platforms a plus
- Graphic design skills a plus, including knowledge of Canva
- Experience with film festivals, guilds, entertainment events in Los Angeles a huge plus
As PMC values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.
Typical wage $25hr. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range.
The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k). PMC is committed to the health and wellness of our employees.
As part of our company-wide rollout of PMC's paid healthcare plan, for this role the company pays 100% of the monthly health, dental and vision plan premiums for the employee and their family.Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
