Immersive Resource & Department Manager

Overview

In this role, you will oversee the London Immersive department, ensuring projects and teams run smoothly. You’ll coordinate master schedules, align traditional CG and 2D artists with immersive work, and support artists’ development and wellbeing. You’ll partner with VFX schedulers and HR to manage resources, pay considerations, and project allocations.

Your work accelerates immersive projects from concept to delivery, shaping the studio’s capability to deliver high-impact experiences.

• Own and coordinate the master schedule for the London Immersive department
• Collaborate with VFX Schedulers to integrate traditional CG and 2D artists into immersive projects
• Anticipate project needs and plan for specialist immersive artists with longer lead times
• Champion the Immersive crew, maintain morale, and resolve issues
• Be the primary contact for artists on career growth, training, and project allocations
• Support performance reviews with leadership, giving constructive feedback
• Onboard new crew to realtime pipelines ensuring smooth day-one readiness
• Coordinate with HR on pay negotiations and fair treatment
• Organise seating and arrange specialised machine rentals for optimal setup
• Discuss project progress with line producers and adapt schedules as needed
• Support bidding in CETA, coordinating pitches and tests to win new work

• Experience scheduling crew and projects in fast-paced VFX or real-time production environments
• Solid understanding of CG, traditional VFX pipelines, and Realtime/immersive workflows
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with producers, artists, HR, and cross-department leads
• Strong pastoral care skills and experience building culturally aligned teams
• Exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving for resource or contractual constraints
• Proficiency or high capacity to learn database and scheduling tools (CETA, Jira, advanced Excel)
• Meticulous attention to detail for schedules, seating, and reporting
• Ability to stay responsive under pressure and adapt to changing production needs
