Job Title: Full-Time IGCSE Teacher – Business Studies & Economics

Location: North Bangalore, Karnataka (In-person)

Employment Type: Part-Time (3 days per week)

Stipend: Rs. 50,000 per month

About the Role

We (The Shishya Jigyasa Academy) are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable IGCSE Business Studies and Economics Teacher to join our academic team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be passionate about introducing high school students to core economic theories, business frameworks, and real-world commercial operations.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, preparing students for board assessments while building their critical thinking and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver interactive, student-centered lessons for IGCSE Business Studies and IGCSE Economics.

Assessment & Feedback: Prepare candidates for Cambridge IGCSE examinations, grade assignments, conduct regular mock tests, and provide constructive feedback to foster academic growth.

Classroom Management: Maintain an engaging, inclusive, and structured learning environment that encourages active student participation.

Parent & School Communication: Keep track of student progress, provide regular updates to parents, and collaborate with academic coordinators as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Economics, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.

Subject Knowledge: Deep understanding of IGCSE Business Studies and Economics concepts (e.g., market structures, macro/microeconomics, marketing, finance, and operations management).

Experience: Prior experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE curriculum is a strong plus (though passionate candidates with strong subject mastery will be considered).

Commute & Availability: Ability to commute to our campus in North Bangalore 3 times a week.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
