IBM z/OS Integration Consultant

Overview

In this role you design, build, and support enterprise integration across IBM z/OS environments, connecting distributed applications with core banking services. You work within a global engineering team to deliver secure, scalable, and API-driven integration solutions, while troubleshooting incidents and driving platform improvements. You collaborate with architects, application and infrastructure teams to define designs and ensure reliable operations.

This role combines mainframe expertise with modern integration practices to advance our banking and financial services capabilities.

• Design, build, and support enterprise integration solutions across IBM z/OS environments
• Configure, maintain, and optimize integration middleware for core services
• Deliver secure, scalable integrations meeting functional and non-functional requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration designs and technical solutions
• Implement and support API-based integrations between distributed systems and mainframe apps
• Investigate and resolve complex production incidents and integration issues
• Analyze application flows and troubleshoot end-to-end integration challenges
• Produce technical documentation, solution designs, and operational procedures
• Support modernization initiatives and continuous improvement of integration platforms and standards

• Strong experience developing or supporting applications on IBM z/OS
• Good understanding of CICS, DB2 and COBOL
• Hands-on experience with IBM MQ messaging
• Knowledge of REST APIs and API integration frameworks such as z/OS Connect EE
• Understanding of synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns
• Experience implementing secure and resilient integrations between distributed and mainframe applications
• Experience with Endevor, Jira, and ServiceNow (SNOW)
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
