Your Role

As a HR WasteTruck Driver, you’ll undertake refuse removal services and street cleaning, that complies with the City of Perth’s specified work standards. Reporting to the Assistant Supervisor, you’ll be instrumental in keeping our operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and drive a waste collection truck and compactor that has 3 axles.
  • Use of street cleaning plant:
    • Street cleaning machines.
    • Water truck.
  • In addition to the plant and equipment mentioned above, drive and operate a variety of waste and street cleaning plant and equipment, including but not limited to:
    • Road sweeper.
    • Footpath sweeper.
    • Steam cleaner ute.
    • High pressure ute.
    • High pressure footpath cleaner.
    • Front end loader.
  • Maintain compliant work practices in accordance with all relevant legislation, recordkeeping frameworks and all other relevant Council policies and procedures, and other frameworks.

Eligibility

  • A right to work in Australia (e.g. a birth certificate, current passport or current visa);
  • Fitness for work via a pre-employment medical;
  • A current ‘HR’ class Australian drivers licence; and
  • A satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months).
