Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner

TeamHealth has a new nocturnist acute care nurse practitioner (NP) opening at St. David's Medical Center in Austin, Texas. This is an established program between TeamHealth and HCA staffed that encompasses a total of 6 facilities throughout the greater Austin market. Board certified acute care NPs will only be considered as this is a requirement of the hospital system. St. David's Medical Center has 426 beds with an open ICU. At night there is 1 hospitalist and 1 NP working from 7p-7a. The daily census averages 20-22 for the rounding physicians, 16 day admissions, and 12-14 admission during the night shift. There is full specialty back-up in place and the EMR used across all facilities in Meditech.
