The Opportunities

This role offers the opportunity to use data and analytics to drive product performance and support strategic decision‑making. You will analyse product and portfolio performance, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for key stakeholders. Working closely with Product, Actuarial and cross‑functional teams, you will help define and track product KPIs, develop meaningful reporting and dashboards, and contribute to product management and implementation initiatives.

The role also provides exposure to senior actuarial leadership, including collaboration with the AIA Health Actuarial team and AIA Health's Appointed Actuary.

To do this successfully you will

  • Conduct competitor, market and industry analysis to support product positioning, pricing strategies and informed business decision‑making.
  • Analyse product, portfolio, claims and member behaviour data to identify trends, risks and opportunities that improve profitability and retention.
  • Support provider management activities by monitoring performance metrics and identifying opportunities to enhance value, customer outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with the Senior Product Manager and cross‑functional stakeholders to support product management, implementation and delivery initiatives.
  • Deliver analytical projects from data acquisition and exploration through to modelling, insight generation and communication of recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships across Product, Actuarial, Data Analytics and IT teams, effectively communicating insights and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Successful applications will demonstrate

  • Experience within the Life or Health Insurance industry, with a strong understanding of insurance products, performance drivers and customer outcomes.
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience interpreting complex data and translating insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting and visualisation tools, with the ability to develop meaningful dashboards and performance metrics.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to identify trends, risks and opportunities within large datasets.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • A bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Actuarial Studies, Statistics or a related discipline, combined with a proactive and collaborative approach to delivering business outcomes.
