Job title - Head of Sales Responsible to - Operations Director Location - Sheffield, S9 1GD Purpose of Role To lead and manage the Sales Department, driving revenue growth, developing a high-performing sales team, and ensuring strategic alignment with the company’s commercial objectives. The role will be critical in setting sales goals, forecasting performance, managing key accounts, and executing growth initiatives as well as generating and meeting their own financial sales targets. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the overall sales strategy in line with company objectives.
Personally generate new business opportunities and manage a personal sales pipeline. Achieve individual and departmental financial targets, contributing directly to revenue growth. Drive key account development and maintain senior-level relationships with high-value clients.
Lead, coach, and manage the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets. Establish and maintain effective performance management systems and KPIs. Identify and pursue new business opportunities and key market segments.
Analyse sales data, trends, and market intelligence to inform decision-making. Produce regular sales and revenue reports for the Senior Management Team (SMT), providing insight into performance against targets, pipeline health, and growth opportunities. Collaborate with marketing, business development and operational teams to align strategies.
Oversee the usage of CRM systems to improve pipeline management. Ensure compliance with GDPR and other regulatory frameworks. Represent the company at key industry events and meetings.
Skills Required Proven track record of delivering and exceeding sales targets in a senior sales leadership role. Must have prior construction or engineering knowledge. Excellent leadership, motivational, and team management skills.
Strong data analysis and reporting skills; proficient in CRM and sales enablement platforms. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities. Experience of working in or with an Independent Training Provider is desirable.
