Head of Marketing

A large engineering and manufacturing business, with operations that span more than 100 international markets, is looking for a Head of Marketing to lead and evolve its marketing function.

Operating within a highly technical B2B environment, this organization has a strong foundation across a range of industrial sectors worldwide. They are seeking an experienced marketing leader who can shape strategy, drive performance and develop their existing marketing function.

Qualifications

• Significant marketing experience spent in senior marketing leadership positions. Proven success developing and delivering marketing strategies that support commercial growth.
• Experience leading and developing multi-disciplinary marketing teams.
• Strong understanding of brand development, demand generation, digital marketing, communications and performance measurement.
• Comfortable operating with senior stakeholders and influencing at leadership level.
• Commercially minded, data‑driven and able to translate complex technical propositions into compelling market messaging.
• Experience within engineering, manufacturing, industrial, technical or other B2B sectors would be highly advantageous.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Developing and delivering the global marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth plans.
• Leading and mentoring an established marketing team, driving performance and continuous improvement.
• Owning marketing budgets, planning activity and measuring return on investment.
• Driving brand positioning, proposition development and integrated marketing campaigns across multiple international markets.
• Working closely with senior leadership to identify commercial opportunities and support business growth.
• Enhancing lead generation, customer engagement and marketing automation initiatives. Using data, market insight and competitor intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
• Managing agency relationships, suppliers and marketing technology platforms.
• Ensuring brand consistency whilst supporting regional and international market requirements.

Where You’ll Be

This is a full‑time, office‑based role in South Yorkshire requiring regular on‑site presence as a key member of the senior leadership team. Working hours are 9 am – 5 pm. The location is easily commutable from Sheffield, Leeds, Doncaster, Barnsley, Rotherham, Wakefield and surrounding areas.
