Overview

In this role you will own Goodlord’s brand and communications, shaping how the company is perceived in the rental market. You will lead brand storytelling, PR, corporate affairs, and content strategy to support growth and credibility. You’ll collaborate across Demand Generation, Product Marketing, and Sales to ensure brand and content drive commercial outcomes.

You’ll translate complex topics like regulation and AI into engaging narratives that resonate with customers and influencers. This is a hands-on role with leadership over a four-person team, offering autonomy and impact in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Own and evolve brand strategy, positioning, identity, and voice across all touchpoints
  • Lead storytelling quality to convert complexity into clear customer-focused narratives
  • Manage PR, media relations, and corporate affairs, including interaction with journalists and external agencies
  • Direct content and SEO agenda, including blogs, thought leadership, case studies, and video
  • Lead in-house design team to produce on-brand, commercially impactful collateral
  • Develop and coach a four-person team across content, SEO, and design
  • Collaborate with Demand Generation, Product Marketing, and Sales to align brand with business goals
  • Shape leadership thought leadership, executive communications, and media opportunities
  • Oversee reputation management and issue handling with calm, credible judgment
  • Partner with senior leaders on external positioning, ghostwriting, and bylines
Key requirements
  • Strong commercial experience across brand, PR/communications and content in agency and/or B2B tech, SaaS, fintech, proptech
  • Experience owning a brand and shaping its market presence
  • Experience leading and developing teams across content, creative, design, or communications
  • Proven storytelling ability with strategic judgment from macro branding to a single headline
  • Track record building media relationships and securing coverage in trade and mainstream press
  • Ability to translate regulation, technology, or industry change into engaging narratives
  • Experience in corporate affairs and reputation management with calm handling of sensitive moments
  • Fluency in thought leadership and executive communications, including ghostwriting and bylines
  • Understanding of SEO as a growth channel and direction-setting for specialists
  • Commercially minded with ability to align brand, PR and content with business goals
