Drive urban development as a Growth-Focused Development Planner with the County of Wetaskiwin. This full-time position is geared towards sustainable planning in a scenic setting. As a Development Planner in the County of Wetaskiwin, you will report to the Director of Planning & Development and undertake a wide range of planning responsibilities.
Your role will include reviewing permits, ensuring compliance, and evaluating development proposals, contributing to the county’s sustainable growth objectives. Key Responsibilities: • Evaluate development applications against municipal standards • Ensure compliance with planning regulations and policies • Collaborate with stakeholders and planning consultants • Assist in drafting Area Structure Plans and MDP updates • Conduct site inspections for development evaluations Requirements: • Minimum of two years of planning experience • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License • Degree in Planning, Urban Design, or related field • Willingness to pursue ALUP certification • Ability to interpret planning regulations and policies Strengthen your planning career while making a tangible difference in the County of Wetaskiwin. #J-18808-Ljbffr
