We are looking for a locally grown professional with extensive experience in the Australian market—someone who understands the nuances of the local landscape and is excited to be involved in all aspects of the finance function. You are someone who:

• Thrives on Variety: You are just as comfortable refining AR/AP processes as you are providing strategic data to Directors.
• Possesses Deep Local Knowledge: You have a comprehensive understanding of Australian statutory requirements (GST, FBT, Payroll Tax) and how they apply to a growing business.
• Wants Proximity to Operations: You aren't afraid to step away from the screen to understand how the warehouse and inventory movements drive the financial data.

The Opportunity

Reporting to senior finance leadership and working closely with the Directors, you will support our group financial processes, with a specific focus on ensuring the financial integrity of our accounts, inventory and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Group Financial Control: Manage the end-to-end month-end process for the Group. Ensure absolute precision in P&L and Balance Sheet reporting across multiple entities.
• Commercial Insights: Provide detailed variance analysis and commentary directly to the Directors to help steer the business towards its expansion goals.
• Inventory Integrity Support: Work alongside operations to ensure the financial integrity of the Cin7 system, ensuring stock movements accurately reflected in the accounts.
• Process Refinement: Evaluate and improve AR/AP and reporting workflows to ensure our finance operations are robust, scalable, and automated where possible.
• Strategic Support: Assist with annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and ad-hoc projects that contribute to the long-term stability and growth of the organisation.

What we are looking for

• Qualified Professional: CA or CPA qualified (or very close to completion).
• Inventory Exposure: Experience in an inventory-heavy environment (e.g. Landscape Supplies, Construction, Manufacturing, or FMCG).
• System Savvy: A natural affinity for financial technology. Experience with Cin7 (or a similar ERP/WMS) is highly regarded.
• Commercial Maturity: The ability to communicate the "why" behind the numbers directly to business owners and stakeholders.
• Working Rights: Must hold full and unrestricted Australian working rights.
