Job Description
Graphic Design & Illustration Teacher
Location: Kilkenny and Carlow Education and Training Board, Carlow, CW, Ireland. Full‑time, on‑site.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the curriculum and student learning objectives.
- Integrate technology and digital media to support learning across the arts.
- Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor and evaluate student progress and inform instruction.
- Manage classroom behaviour, create an inclusive learning environment and maintain school policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents and external stakeholders to support student learning.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Currently registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland and hold a current Registration Certificate.
- Registered for teaching qualifications; applicants in final year of relevant degree/diploma may apply pending successful completion.
- Strong knowledge of subject matter, pedagogy and curriculum development for graphic design and illustration.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate cross‑cultural and cross‑curricular links.
- Experience and commitment to equality, inclusion and diversity.
- Good communication, collaboration and professional growth mindset.
