Graduate Civil Engineer

Graduate / Assistant Civil Engineer Location: Leicester Projects Across: East Midlands Salary: £28,000 - £40,000 + Package The Opportunity A well-established and growing civil engineering contractor is seeking a Graduate or Assistant Civil Engineer to join its expanding team based in Leicester. Operating across the East Midlands, the company delivers a wide range of civil engineering, infrastructure and groundworks projects for residential, commercial and industrial developments. The role would suit a recent Civil Engineering graduate, someone due to complete their studies this year, or an individual with some existing industry experience looking to take the next step in their career. The Role Working alongside experienced engineers and project teams, the successful candidate will gain exposure to all aspects of project delivery, supporting the planning, coordination and execution of civil engineering and infrastructure works throughout the East Midlands region. Projects typically include: Roads and highways infrastructure Drainage and sewer installations Earthworks and groundworks Residential infrastructure developments Commercial and industrial schemes Section 278 and Section 104 works Reinforced concrete and external works packages Key Responsibilities Assist with the delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.

Support site teams with setting out, surveying and quality checks. Assist in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications. Monitor project progress and report findings to senior engineers.

Support the preparation of as-built records and project documentation. Assist with the preparation and amendment of engineering drawings. Support design reviews and technical submissions.

Liaise with site teams, subcontractors and suppliers. Attend site meetings and contribute to project planning activities. Support health, safety and environmental compliance requirements.

Candidate Requirements The company is open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including: Civil Engineering graduates. Students due to complete a Civil Engineering degree this year. Assistant Engineers.

Graduate Engineers. Civil Engineering Technicians. CAD Technicians with an interest in civil engineering.

Individuals with experience within construction, infrastructure or groundworks environments. Essential Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or currently studying towards one. Strong communication and organisational skills.
