Job Description Syngenta’s Crop Protection Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Team seeks a Government Relations Manager in Washington, DC.

The role represents the company in legislative and regulatory matters and supports the Director, Federal Affairs and the Head of Public Affairs, NA. The position advances Syngenta’s interests through engagement with government officials, agencies and industry stakeholders, shapes public policy, builds relationships, conducts research, prepares materials and coordinates legislative advocacy. Accountabilities Drive policy outcomes that align with Syngenta's strategic objectives.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry associations, and advocacy groups; attend meetings, coordinate communications, liaise with consultants, and prepare materials. Analyze policy developments, conduct research, prepare talking points, presentations and other communication materials for senior leaders, and assist in drafting correspondence. Monitor federal and state legislative activity, track relevant bills and amendments, and provide timely updates and analysis to the Director and the public affairs team.

Assist with management of Syngenta’s political action committee (PAC). Plan and execute events such as conferences, meetings and briefings. Network with peer companies and relevant stakeholders.

Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of Syngenta’s government relations program in North America. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in Government, Public Administration, Political Science or a related field from an accredited institution. Five years of proven experience in a public affairs or public relations function.

Experience developing and working with coalitions of stakeholders to achieve results. Experience advocating before and working with Congress and executive agencies. Strong judgment and political acumen, especially in agriculture, defense, trade, or crop protection.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with all branches of the federal government. Ability to work across multiple time zones, countries and cultures.

Values a global audience with varied perspectives. Critical Success Factors & Key Challenges Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and network internally and externally. Ability to navigate a complex political environment with strong judgment.

Collaborative, team‑player ethos is essential. Proactive and detail‑oriented in a fast‑paced environment. Strong advocacy skills to represent Syngenta's interests in complex policy discussions affecting the agricultural sector.
