Full-Time Permanent Position | 37.5-39 Hours per Week | €16.50 per Hour (No Weekends)

Paul Byron Shoes is one of Ireland's leading independent footwear retailers, with stores across the country supported by our central warehouse operation.

We are seeking an energetic, organised and hands-on Goods In & Stock Supervisor to join our warehouse team and support the Warehouse Manager in the day-to-day running of our busy footwear warehouse.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for our Goods In section, ensuring deliveries are received and processed accurately, stock is correctly recorded and stored, and replenishments for our retail stores are completed efficiently and on time.

This is a hands-on supervisory position. Previous Goods In experience and previous supervisory or team-leading experience are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Goods In section.
  • Receive, check and process incoming deliveries and accurately record stock on our computer system.
  • Run daily stock replenishments, including printing picks, allocating work to warehouse staff and ensuring picks are completed within the required timeframe.
  • Ensure remaining stock from deliveries is packed away correctly in its allocated warehouse location.
  • Identify and resolve stock discrepancies and other Goods In issues.
  • Report damaged or incorrect goods and communicate any issues promptly to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Maintain accurate stock and delivery records.
  • Take a hands-on approach, assisting with the unloading, checking and processing of deliveries as required.
  • Support the Warehouse Manager with the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of warehouse operations.
  • Act as a key holder, including opening and closing the warehouse on a rostered basis.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a Goods In role.
  • Previous supervisory, team leader or similar experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate stock records.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to allocate work and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • A practical, hands‑on approach and willingness to assist with all aspects of warehouse operations.
  • Reliable and comfortable taking responsibility for opening and closing the warehouse when rostered.

Desirable

  • Experience using warehouse or stock management software.
  • Forklift experience/licence is highly desirable. Forklift training can be provided if required.

Hours & Pay

  • Full-time permanent position
  • 37.5-39 hours per week
  • Pay: €16.50 per hour

This role would suit an experienced Goods In operative who has already gained supervisory or team‑leading experience and is ready to take greater responsibility within a busy warehouse environment.
