Job Title: Project Manager – Deep Foundations (Construction) Location: Austin, Texas Overview A leading construction firm specializing in geotechnical and deep foundation systems is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee foundation construction projects in the Austin area. My client delivers specialty foundation work, focusing on safety, efficiency, and high-quality execution in the field. Position Summary The Project Manager is responsible for managing deep foundation construction projects from pre-construction through completion.
This role requires strong field coordination, cost control, and leadership of crews, subcontractors, and suppliers. Projects typically include drilled shafts, driven piles, micropiles, and earth retention systems. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred) 5+ years of experience in geotechnical foundation construction Strong knowledge of deep foundation methods (drilled shafts, micropiles, shoring systems) Proven experience managing construction teams Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Preferred Experience Background working for a contractor (not design-only roles) Leading projects valuing from $1M - $10M Familiarity with Texas construction practices and soil conditions Experience with scheduling and project management software Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Bonus opportunities tied to project performance Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Career advancement within a growing construction organization
